Monster Kids Rule at the VMA's

2009 VMA FOR BEST CHOREOGRAPHY

This year's MTV Video Music Awards lived up to the hype in many ways.  While Kanye and Lady Gaga were creating interesting late night talk show material, the most exciting element from the VMA's for us was the presence and success of Monsters Kids in the event!

Montana Efaw (2006 Show Cast) and Deana Brickley (2008 Show Cast) both performed with Lady Gaga while Maria Wada (2009 Show Cast) performed with Beyonce!  Upon the announcement of Britney Spear's award for Best Pop Video (Womanizer), we could see Laura Edwards (2005 Show Cast), Chase Benz and Jonathon Rabon (both from the 2007 Show Cast) who are currently on Britney's CIRCUS Tour.  By the way, don't miss Laura Edwards October 3, 2009 at the first of our master class series at our Baltimore Headquarters.

The biggest news of the night came from JaQuel Knight (2008 Show Cast) who won the BEST CHOREOGRAPHY award for Beyonce's video to Single Ladies.  His work also helped Beyonce win the Video of the Year award; understandably as the iconic and ground-breaking video generated quite a buzz worldwide from Justin Timberlake to the President.
